When tasked with creating a display unit to house our products within the cosmetic departments of our retail partners, we turned to Marbrerie d’Art Caudron, a premiere marble atelier in the city of Montreuil Sous Bois in France.
A craftsman for over 35 years, Mr. Christian Caudron is highly regarded for his work in the creation, sculpture, and restoration of marble art. In April 2015, Mr. Caudron was conferred the title of “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” in the marble works category, a prestigious annual award that recognizes excellence in skill and craftsmanship of professionals in the Arts.
For our display pieces, Marbrerie d’Art Caudron references one of my favorite art periods – the Italian Renaissance – capturing perfectly the classic, yet modern essence of Retrouvé. Mr. Caudron’s work for Retrouvé also includes a number of on-counter product tester displays that feature hand-engravings of Retrouvé’s Art, Science, Beauty seal.
