The oil-based, collagen boosting, pharmaceutical-grade Vitamin C that we utilize in our products – Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate – is known to have a higher rate of penetration than the more widely-used ascorbic Vitamin C, as it is lipid-soluble like human sebum. Clinical studies show that Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate delivers pure Vitamin C at an impressive rate of 50 times better than ascorbic acid. Since it is lipid-soluble, like skin, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate is also known to be more gentle than other forms of Vitamin C. Additionally, while traditional forms of Vitamin C can be unstable, losing potency when exposed to light or air, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate remains remarkably stable – it is a true balance between efficacy, stability and skin compatibility.
