Do not use Retrouvé products on open, wounded, or broken skin.

If you have a question or concern about using a particular ingredient contained in a product or if you have rosacea or other skin hypersensitivity or are pregnant, nursing, or planning a pregnancy or have a medical condition that could make the use of any skin product problematic, you should consult your physician before using the product.

Patch Test Information: If you are generally sensitive to any applied product, we recommend that you perform a patch test at home. An at-home patch test is a valuable uncomplicated procedure that can inform you if your skin is negatively reactive to an applied topical compound. One does this by applying a dime-sized amount of any new product to the inside of the wrist or elbow area. Leave the product on the test area for 12 - 24 hours (overnight). Should irritation occur at any time in that area from that product, rinse thoroughly with cool water and do not continue to use.

Always use sunscreen of SPF 30+ during daylight hours; however, the use of sunscreen alone is not adequate by itself in protecting the skin and must be part of a comprehensive approach to avoid the premature aging (structural, textural, and pigmentary changes) induced by the sun as well as the more important cancerous changes induced by ultraviolet rays. Sunsafe behavior includes avoiding direct sun exposure between 9am - 3pm, always seeking shade, wearing sun protective clothing, sunglasses, and full coverage hats, as well as using broad spectrum SPF 30+ on exposed areas and reapplying at least every 2 hours.
